Your analyses are both pretty good but they could probably be in the same post why don't you copy and paste the HTML so that you have just one post in answer to this question? Also at times I think you could probably say more about the convention you are discussing. For examples you talk about locations and you could use this as an opportunity to explore some more ideas about horror locations. Refer back to our original work on horror conventions. A similar example would be when you are talking about the little girl - this would be an ideal opportunity to discuss the concept of binary oppositions.
