What is distincitive about teaser trailers?
A main theatrical trailer is usually longer than a teaser trailer. A main trailer would last 2 to 3 mintues long whereas a teaser would only be about 1 to a half mintues. They show short shots of the film, try not to give much away. But they include some interesting clips and small amounts of dramatic scenes to give the viewer a 'taste' of the actual real trailer that will soon be coming out. Teasers are distributed before the full length trailer, and the main trailers are screened shortly before the film. The teaser trailers are not always used for a film, its the distributors job to decide whether the film needs one or not.
